ASRV, THE NEW FORMULA FOR INTRALOGISTIC AUTOMATION

In 2009, Smoov ASRV introduced a new standard, redefining the way integrated systems for automatic handling and storage are designed.
Our ASRV technology is at the heart of our innovation: a system of intelligent, interconnected vehicles which function independently from the racking as they carry out storage and retrieval operations autonomously, working individually or as part of the fleet.

Smoov ASRV is the new generation automation system for the storage and handling of pallets, developed to make use of distributed automation logic: sharing operations over a scalable number of intelligent vehicles (ASRV) rather than centralising them on just one.
Radio-controlled, the ASRV move bi-directionally on the racking, thanks to a system of rails positioned below the level of the pallet racking profiles and use a lift to move between floors.

Distributed architecture makes the system modular and plug&play, thus providing numerous benefits in terms of adaptability, scalability and reliability.

 
ADAPTABILITY

Using ASRV technology automated warehouses can be implemented in more difficult situations, such as pre-existing premises that have not been custom-made for this type of technology or other spaces which are normally unusable, as the system can be easily adapted to unusually shaped locations.

The inherent modularity of the system allows it to be re-dimensioned in the event of any incremental requirements, such as peaks in production due to seasonal reasons, or changes in demand.

FLEXIBILITY

It is possible to design warehouses for applications which differ greatly from each other, offering either high selectivity and therefore low density, or high density and therefore low selectivity. Each warehouse can be set up to contain internal areas with differing levels of selectivity versus density and this physical configuration can be modified over time with just a few simple interventions.

The fact that the ASRV are not tied to a specific area of the warehouse means that an entire zone is not shut down, should it be necessary to substitute a vehicle which has temporarily stopped.
