AN UNRIVALLED AUTOMATION SYSTEM WITH NO LIMITS
There is simply nothing else like Smoov ASRV and here we will show you why.
AUTOMATION LOGIC
Distributed
The handling operations are spread over a variable number of cooperating vehicles.
Traditional
The handling operations are handled by a single unit.
LAYOUT RESTRICTIONS
None
Smoov ASRV can be configured to optimize all available layouts, even in premises with pillars, or mezzanine levels.
The presence of pillars and small spaces
System Design
Flexible and modular
Easily expandable by adding more ASRVs.
Rigid
Not easily adaptable to modifications
COST OF THE SYSTEM
Average, gradual and flexible
DEPTH OF STORAGE
Single or double depth storage
Applications
Any application in terms of size and throughput
Applications with stable throughput, without seasonal peaks (otherwise it is necessary to vastly increase the number of AS/RS during the design process)
ENVIRONMENT
Positive and negative temperature environments
Positive and negative temperature environments
ANY POSSIBLE FAULTS OR BREAKDOWNS
The system continues to operate
The whole system is brought to a standstill
SMOOV ASRV
Traditional Shuttle systems
OPERATION
Fully automatic solution.
The ASRVs are managed and controlled by fleet management software which can be easily integrated into any WMS; a wireless communication system allows for general operation of the system.
Semi-automatic solution.
The vehicles are activated by the operator and managed by means of a radio remote control. The operator must manage every single handling mission.
DIRECTION OF MOVEMENT
The ASRVs move independently along the racking in both directions.
The vehicles move in just one direction along the storage tunnel.
MOVEMENT BETWEEN WAREHOUSE LEVELS
Vertical movement of the ASRVs and/or pallets between warehouse levels is achieved automatically via the integrated system lift.
The vehicles and/or pallets require operator intervention and a forklift truck each time it is necessary to change the storage tunnel.
RANGE OF MOVEMENT
Each ASRV is able to independently access every part of the warehouse, as required.
Every vehicle is dedicated to a single storage tunnel. Each change from tunnel to tunnel requires the intervention of a warehouse operator and a forklift truck.
LEVEL OF AUTOMATION
High level of automation:
- Reduced labour requirements and reduced costs
- Ergonomics and accuracy of handling operations
- High throughput
- Real-time inventory
Low level of automation:
- Increased labour requirements: operator intervention is required for the horizontal and vertical movement of the vehicles
- Risk of errors during picking operations
- Risk of damage to goods and the structure
APPLICATIONS
The highest possible flexibility in terms of system configuration
It is possible to design the warehouse according to varying requirements, offering both high selectivity (low density) or high density (low selectivity).
Each warehouse may contain areas with different degrees of selectivity/density.
Only for high-intensity storage systems with no service aisles.
EXPLOITATION OF SPACE
It maximises both vertical and horizontal space.
- It allows for the creation of storage aisles which are narrower than those used by a forklift truck, therefore enabling the space saved to be used for additional pallet positions.
- It offers a three-dimensional optimization of available space, not only in terms of height but also in depth.
The storage aisles must be adequately sized to allow the passage of forklift trucks.
OTHER HANDLING SYSTEMS
No additional elements required for the handling of goods.
A single technology that allows for integrated goods handling and a continuous, fluid flow.
It only allows the storage and retrieval of goods.
BATTERY CHARGING
Automatic recharging of the ASRVs which ensures operational continuity.
The ASRV identify their level of charge and independently take themselves to a charging station when necessary.
The battery pack can be changed automatically or semi-automatically.
Manual substitution of the battery pack outside the storage area.
SAFETY
Maximum level of safety for warehouse operators
Complete closed environment.
Each access to the interior of the warehouse is monitored by a supervision system.
Low level of safety for warehouse operators.
Total, unrestricted access to the warehouse.
